“Goddess” Dressing (Trial I)

October 22, 2008 § 2 Comments

Annie’s Original Goddess Dressing is fantasic.  I love all sorts of salad dressings, but Annie’s Original is hands-down my number one.  My only beef: Annie’s, like most salad dressings, costs an arm and a leg.  Why not make your own?

Ingredients:
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/4 cup sesame oil
1/4 cup tahini
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
1/4 cup water
5 scallions
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon tamari
3 garlic cloves
2 teaspoons sesame seeds
sea salt, pepper

Methods:

In a blender or Cuisinart, blend all ingredients.  If necessary, add water, a teaspoon at a time, to loosen.  Dressing will keep in the fridge for over a week.

Diet Notes: Gluten-free, SCD-safe, Nut-free, Vegan
