peanutbutterbrownies1-1

This weekend I’m co-hosting a bachlorette party for my friend Sarah. She wants me to bring along my chocolate cake, but she also hinted that she loves peanut butter brownies. This recipe is tweaked from AllRecipes.com.

Ingredients:

1/2 cup all-natural peanut butter
1/3 cup butter (about 5 + 1/2 tablespoons)
2/3 cup white sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup whole-wheat-white flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup dark chocolate slivers

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9 x 9″ pan.

2. In a large mixing bowl, mix all wet ingredients. In a separate bowl, mix dry ingredients.  Fold into wet ingredients.  Stir in chocolate.  Spread dough into prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown around the edges.  Let brownies sit until cooled before removing from the pan.
